Women in Literature
Women have been seen as inferiors for a majority of history. Despite the ongoing efforts to achieve equality, women are still held back in the literary world. This site will display the three viewpoints of women in literature: the authors, the publishers, and the reader.
|
The authors page talks about female literature authors. It expresses their viewpoint and emotions behind being under-published and seen as inferior in the literary world despite the great strides in gender equality in other fields.
ReadersThe readers page takes the standpoint of the readers. It expresses what they would like to witness in the books they read. It takes a 3rd party role in determining whether the authors are correct in fighting for their works or if the publishers truly know what the readers want and it is not all gender bias.
|
The publishers page speaks from the stake hold of publishers. It takes into account all the works they review and goes in depth as to why there is a lack in female authors that become published and explores reasons why it is not their gender, but other elements instead.

I would venture
to guess that Anon,
who wrote so many poems
without signing them,
was a woman.
